Music career
Pictures of the Gone America, Live and Unplugged (2002–2004)
In 2002, Zwig released his solo debut album, Pictures of the Gone America.
Koan (2004–2006)
In 2004, Zwig released his 2nd solo album, Koan.
Cast Iron Letters, Tour (2007–2010)
In 2007, Zwig once again teamed up with producer Jonathan Plum to release Cast Iron Letters. In support of the album, Zwig and his band embarked on a one-year tour of the U.S. and Europe.
Visions of the Shimmering Night, Tour (2011–2013)
Coming off the Cast Iron Letters Tour, Zwig began writing songs that would become his album entitled Visions of the Shimmering Night. Zwig originally penned enough material to comprise a double album, but then decided to release 12 songs as a stand-alone record. For this album Zwig worked with producers Stuart Sikes and David Bianco. In support of Visions, Zwig and his band, featuring Brian MacLeod on drums and Erik Kertes on bass, embarked on a six-week tour of the U.S., beginning on the West Coast and ending in the East. Also during this time, Zwig collaborated with video director Garrett Gibbons on a video for "Everybody Love."
Stones, Bones, and Skin, Tour (2014)
While touring the states for his Visions of the Shimmering Night Tour, Zwig began penning the material that would comprise the 5 songs for his EP entitled Stones, Bones, and Skin working again with producers Sikes and Bianco. Three songs from the EP, "Going Back to Vermont," "Raising People," and "Sunshine Waves" became Top Ten hits on the AC charts, with two live videos released from a show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as a lyric video for "Waiting on Heaven (To Make a Move) (Orchestral Version)" (featuring The Section Quartet) created by video director Aya Tanimura.
Live at the Wiltern Theatre (2015)
During the Stones, Bones, and Skin Tour Zwig and his band decided to capture one live unedited performance on tape, choosing the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles for Zwig's 7th solo album, Live at the Wiltern Theatre. Released on December 11, 2015, the album was recorded by producer David Bianco, and premiered on Billboard on December 7. In addition, 4 songs have been premiered in media to date: "Just Like Tom Thumb Blues, a Bob Dylan cover", "Raising People", "I Remember You", and "Going Back to L.A".
