Kunni is an Indian Malayalam musical short film released on 21 February 2019. This film was directed by Nikhil TT. Also he is the Writer of the film. The Music Director and Singer of the film is Nikhil Chandran . Arun Narayanan is doing the main character role in this film.
Plot
The film begins with a student Hari waiting anxiously for his friend Kunni. When Kunni finally arrives on his bicycle, Hari eagerly asks him how it went. It is then that Kunni tries to explain that this time too he was unable to give her the chocolate. Hari tries to give Kunni the confidence to talk to the girl he likes and give her the chocolate bar.
It is at this juncture that a poor woman with a baby that has been crying for a while now, much to the irritation of the people at the stall nearby, approaches the two boys and hands over the baby to Kunni, saying she will be right back. Unable to comprehend her Hindi, the boys go into a panic and Hari runs after the lady leaving Kunni with the crying baby.
Kunni, remembering a lullaby from his childhood, begins to sing to the baby. As he sings with nostalgia, the baby calms down and falls asleep. When the mother returns with milk for the baby, all is calm and Kunni returns the child to her. From her few Malayalam words and Hindi, everyone comes to understand that the baby is actually her sister's who died in an accident and they are travelling musicians on trains. When the next bus arrives she is helped on it.
The entire scene had been witnessed by the girl Kunni liked and she conveys her approval of his actions. Kunni instead of giving the chocolate to her, decided to give it to the lady and the two friends walk away from the scene.
